How to Care for your New Lawn
Watering Instructions:
For the first 14 days your new lawn should be watered 3-4 times per day. It is important not to miss any days and to water your lawn evenly. You can water anytime of the day, However it is important to not over water.
After 14 days you should have some top growth and can reduce your watering to 10 minutes every 2 to 3 days. Once your lawn has been cut it will need 1 inch of water per week.
HINT: If your lawn is brown it is thirsty!
Mowing Instructions:
In approximately 4 weeks your lawn will be ready for its first cut. We suggest that you cut no more than 1/3 of the length and to leave the clippings on the lawn. Leaving the clippings on the lawn adds nutrients to the lawn and soil it also helps to promote growth.
Fertilizing Instructions:
Grassmaster recommends that you fertilize your newly hydroseeded lawn 4-6 weeks after our initial hydroseeding application.
